Qatre Épices is a French four spice and literally means “four spices.” Our blend, however, contains 7: White and black peppercorns, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, sweet cinnamon and clove. Quatre Épices is mainly used in France, but you will also find it as an ingredient in Middle Eastern cooking. Quatre Épices is an aromatic and rich seasoning for stews, soups, vegetable dishes and charcuterie (sausage, terrines and paté, for example). It adds robust flavor to any casserole, such as a beef casserole cooked in red wine.
