Harissa is the staple fiery condiment of Tunisia. A combination of hot peppers, spices and herbs, it is used as a rub, a general spice to add to any dish, and as a spread like mustard. We have created a dry Harissa, making it convenient to create a little or a lot as you need it, and allowing it to be used as either a dry ingredient or made into a paste with a bit of oil or hot water.

    Have used this as a dry rub, wet marinade, and in a Tagine Chicken with green olives and preserved lemons. It's full bodied flavor adds just the right amount of heat and exotic spice without falling over into can be the case with some spice blends. Very well done.

    My favorite spice blend. Love it in hummus. It adds a depth of flavor to almost anything. I especially like it in soups and chili.

    Dry Harissa is a revelation!

    I'm familiar with half a dozen store-bought Harissa pastes, plus maybe four different recipes I have made at home, but the TTSCoV dry Harissa spice is a real eye-opener. You can do so much more with it -- use as a dry rub, sprinkle on salads, toss with nuts and fruits -- you can substitute it for more conventional spice mixes and really kick up the taste!
